Thought for the Week - Set It and Forget It
Hi!
I keep looking for it .... and can't seem to find it!
It's the "Set It and Forget It!" organizing system where
you set up your system and then you're done. It
runs itself.
Unfortunately,
we still have to sort through the mail, clean out the
refrigerator, get rid of last year's
"Oh-No-It's-Too-Small" clothes, send in our taxes....
But the best thing about the
really good organizing systems is they do a couple
things for you:
1) They take some of the
burden off your poor, overworked brain for remembering.
I still have to follow up on those queries, but if I
tracked them on the "Submission Tracker" form, I'll know
exactly when to do it.
2) You don't have to start
from scratch. So many things we do are repetitive
and when you have a checklist to walk you through the
steps, you've just saved a little more brain power.
3) You don't have to think
about "when." My mom was a guru at this one.
She had a regular weekly schedule so laundry was done
every week on Tuesday--and as long as it got finished
every week, we weren't scrambling for clean underwear.
So keep on organizing... and if
you find that "Set It and Forget It" system, let me
know, OK?
A Big "Thank You" to Verna Wilder of Coachamatic.com.
She blogged about OrganizedWriter.com --
"I have no tips to help you get organized, but Julie
Hood does, and she says it all: Take a look at
OrganizedWriter.com, and spend some time browsing all
the great stuff she has, much of it at no cost. I could
spend hours on her site, learning something new with
every click...."
I'm
finishing up my new office-- and so I can get the
ceiling finished, I'm offering this special just for

The Dirty Little Writing Secret Everyone Hates To Admit
by Deanna Mascle
Many struggling writers come to me asking what they can do to improve their
writing. They continually face problems with sentence and paragraph structure as
well as surface errors such as spelling, grammar, and punctuation. They know the
basic rules of English and can often be very effective helping other writers
revise their work but somehow manage to overlook the errors in their own drafts.
It is a common problem and the solution is a dirty little secret among
writers....

Using Teleseminars to Sell Your
Book and a Rich Dad Poor Dad Video
Forget book signings.
Forget book fairs.
Target your market, and use teleseminars to sell books.
Alex Mandossian is the guru when it comes to using teleseminars--giving speeches
and seminars to groups by phone. And Steve Harrison of the Radio-TV and
Interview Report (RTIR) will be grilling him on Wednesday to learn:
How Alex helped a first-time author hit the New York Times Bestseller
List.
Eight different models for using teleseminars to sell books
How Alex sold 1,742 books in a single teleseminar.
One last thought for you... I'll been coaching this past year with Loral
Langemeier and she has a brand-new book coming out on investing (She knows her
stuff. One of our investments this year is giving us a wonderful return.)
"Julie, I am sending a quick note to thank you for your well measured and extra-ordinary website. You have
a tremendous amount of information at a very reasonable cost. I subscribed to your free site and, for the
first time in forty years of writing, found a planner that works for me.
I felt so guilty for receiving so much information free from your
site that I have now ordered and downloaded the e book. I have found that you have struck a cord among so
many writers regarding procrastination and simple organization. Keep up the good work.
