For authors.... Master the Publicity Puzzle
Are you trying to get publicity for your book-- and are frustrated with the publicity maze? Here are a few of my favorite resources:
I also really like the teleseminars from Publicity Goldmine. The price has been marked down 67% for a couple days (they are only $9.95) so if you see one you like, you may want to jump on it before it goes back to the regular price-- http://snipurl.com/PubGoldmineSeminar
For freelancers....Ten-Minute Toolkit
So many writers feel like they don't have time to write. In a way, they are correct -- they may not have hours to sit at the computer in uninterrupted writing bliss.
But they probably have lots of time broken up into a minute here and minute there.
How much can you get done when you only have minutes to spare?
More than you might think.
This weekend while I was at a women's expo, I took a few minutes to come up with of things that take 10 minutes or less:
1. Proofread a paragraph.
2. Do market analysis on a magazine cover.
3. Call to doublecheck the address and editor's name of a magazine.
4. Write a killer lead.
5. Find a hook for a query letter.
6. Write the ending.
7. Write a paragraph.
8. Write 300 words or more!
9. Find writer's guidelines online for a target market.
10. Read a chapter in that writer's how-to book.
You get the idea. Put together your own list so when you only have a few minutes to write, you can still make progress on your latest writing project.
Happy writing (and organizing) this week! Julie

"Julie, I love your book. I have read (or at least opened) more than a trunk load of books about writing over the years. Yours is the first I have seen that gives readers so much in one place. For me, the Master List and putting that together was more than worth the cost."
