Thought for the Week - 90 Days to Go
Welcome new subscribers and old friends, too!
Where has the year gone? As we creep up on October, I start thinking how it's not just Halloween that makes it scary! As 2004 comes to a close, we have just a little time left to attack this year's goals.
Spend five minutes today planning the rest of the year. Mark off the holidays and any special events. How much time is left? What else can you accomplish this year?
P.S. Did you miss last
week's issue? You
can read it here.
Write More in 2004™ Audio CD now available!
How are you doing with our goal to Write More in 2004?
If you need a little inspiration, check out my brand-new audio CD, Write More. Only $19.95 plus shipping and handling.
"The CD came yesterday afternoon, and I listened to it as I was
zipping around the kitchen making dinner. It's terrific, and I learned
several things." --Joyce Heiser, Inspirational Writer, http://www.mychristiansite.com/ministries/lhchristianwriters/
Payments can be made through Paypal (with just a credit card if you don't
have an account).

A Lesson in Passion for Writing
This week my son has been writing a book, an ebook, no less, and I wish we all had his motivation. On Tuesday night, he put his first draft together on paper, and guess what he said when he hopped out of bed on Wednesday? "Mom, I want to work on my book."
That was also the first thing he said when he got off the bus. Then at bedtime I told him he could work on it before school only I if he had extra time .... so he was up an hour early, ready to work.... and we finished "My Cars" this morning.
It made me think about how often we think about a new writing project, but don't actually do anything about it. Do we get up early? Is it the first thing we think about when we have a spare minute?
If we really focused, how much could we accomplish in a day or two?
Sometimes the best lessons come from the kids <grin>....

"Julie, I love your book. I have read (or at least opened) more than a trunk load of books about writing over the years. Yours is the first I have seen that gives readers so much in one place. For me, the Master List and putting that together was more than worth the cost."
